Vijay Rupani exits as Gujarat CM, 5th to go in 6 months

In an abrupt move, Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani resigned on Saturday, becoming the fifth CM to leave the top post in a BJP-ruled state in six months. Rupani’s exit came after helming the state for five years and 36 days, and with just over a year to go for the assembly polls. His departure, just like his elevation to CM, was swift and decisive.
